During such an investigation, we carry out a visual inspection supplemented with magnetic or penetrant testing. Our inspectors have jointly inspected hundreds of boilers and investigated a huge amount of damage, so we know exactly what the weak points are and can usually visually see whether small cracks are present, for example. If a crack is found before the boiler leaks, it can usually be repaired relatively easily and major damage can be prevented.
